Puppies

Pearkim is a small kennel, therefore I only have a litter of puppies when I want to breed a puppy for myself to show – as that’s my full-time hobby!

You are welcome to telephone to enquire about puppies.

If I am planning to breed a litter of Pearkim cocker spaniels, you may visit (by appointment only) in advance to meet the potential ‘mum to be’ and her other cocker-relations to give you an idea on their type and character, and for you to like what you see, and for me to like you.

If I have a litter of puppies, I always advise potentially interested people to visit when the puppies are around 4-6 weeks of age. By that time I will have an idea on which puppy is for me and then you may be able to choose a puppy for you.

My puppies go to their new homes from the age of 8 or 9weeks, and no earlier.

My puppies are vet-examined, in most cases have had first innoculation, are pet insured and go to their new homes with a ‘puppy pack’ that contains

  • the KC registration certificate,
  • four-generation pedigree,
  • a diet sheet,
  • an information sheet on how to manage your puppy,
  • grooming instructions,
  • a signed receipt and contract.
  • some bedding and favourite toy to help settle into the new home
  • a supply of food so that the puppy is fed on the same food in this transition period

The first few days/weeks can be quite stressful – for the puppy and/or the owner – remember a puppy is for life and can be demanding, make sure you have made the right decision before your commitment that a cocker spaniel is for you and your family.

Pearkim cocker spaniel puppies are my babies, I love to hear about their new adventures in their family home … and always welcome to see them for trims and/or short-stay holidays if necessary.
